Lori Sussel, Ph.D

Dr. Lori Sussel is an Associate Professor of Genetics and Development at Columbia University. Dr. Sussel received her Ph.D degree from Columbia University and performed her postdoctoral studies at the University of California, San Francisco. Her research group studies the molecular genetics of pancreatic islet development during embryogenesis. The knowledge gained from these studies will contribute to the generation of new sources of beta cells for the treatment of diabetes.
