Purpose of Study
To obtain blood samples from you and your family in order to try and discover how differences in the genes we inherit from our parents contribute to the risk for developing type-1 diabetes.

The Environmental Determinants of Diabetes in the Young (TEDDY) Study

Purpose of Study
To follow infants from the age of three months to 15 years of age in order to identify infectious agents, dietary factors, or other environmental agents, including psychosocial factors which trigger Type 1 Diabetes in genetically susceptible individuals or which protect against the disease.
