The Greatest Fundraiser on Earth:
The Berrie Center Goes to the Circus

On November 15 at 12:30 PM, the entire Berrie Center community is invited to the Big Apple Circus at Lincoln Center for a continued celebration of the 15th Anniversary of the Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center. The 1600 seat circus tent will be reserved for the Berrie Center community, so there is plenty of room to bring everyone who loves you, the center and the circus.

And who doesn’t love a day at the circus—a magical family event, where the kids can eat hot dogs (carbohydrate counters will be provided) and clown around without consequence; there will even be a photo opportunity before the show where red noses and rainbow wigs will be available. This particular circus is also “a great opportunity to meet and mingle with the NBDC staff as well as other families who understand what it’s like to live with diabetes,” says Tori Bender, Outreach Program Coordinator at the Berrie Center, “Our goal is to foster a sense of community and support that extends beyond the walls of the Berrie Center.”

The Big Apple Circus event is brought to you by a new executive committee dedicated to raising funds for the research and clinical programs at the Berrie Center. Committee Chair Paul Healy, a patient at the Berrie Center, is working tirelessly to produce “the greatest fundraiser on earth, for the greatest diabetes center in the world,” he said.
